My dears, can you believe the weekend we all had? Someone on Twitter (of all places) said it best: “The girl married her Prince. The bad guy is dead. It’s a real Disney weekend here on Earth.” And here I thought being recognized by a fan (who knew?!) and meeting Teri Hatcher this weekend were major moments (more on both soon). Obviously bigger things were taking place.

Someone else (Mark Twain) also said it best: “I have never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.” True, the war may not be over, but the battle was won. And it’s an historic day that needs to be reflected on. Just like we all remember where we were on September 11, 2001, we will all, no doubt, remember where we were when we found out the news of Osama Bin Laden’s death (I had just come back from a sun-drenched dinner and read the news on Facebook. Times they have a changed. And you?).

In that spirit, it only seems right to take a moment to reflect. To remember all of the brave heroes who rushed into burning buildings to save lives nearly 10 years ago. To remember the families of those who lost loved ones. To thank all of the selfless servicemen and women and their families for their unwavering dedication. To be thankful for the peace and freedoms that we are so fortunate to enjoy day in and day out.

I’ll be back here tomorrow with regularly scheduled programming. But today, today we elongate our Disney weekend.

Hold each other tight xx,

Kelly
