My dears, we’re still in San Francisco, where the city and I have been engaging in a battle of sorts. I’m all like, knock it off with your freezing cold wind, San Franny, I wanna be warm, like pronto. And it’s all like no, I want to freeze you like a popsicle, sista. It’s a war that’s raged since we last lived here. The upside, however, is getting to wear cute winter clothes that seldom get to come out and play living in LA.
Of course, half of these clothes I owe to my sweet fashion blogger friend Helen, as she generously donated them to me, instead of to Crossroads, in which they were originally intended. Tibi, J.Crew, BCBG, oh my! It felt like Christmas. Not only did this warm my frozen limbs, but the cockles of my hardened heart, too (I blame the hardening mostly on my indulgent diet, which has been well documented on Instagram).
Here I am in Tiburon, a town just north of San Francisco that I love and which normally can be counted on for warmer weather than the city. But not on this day. I thought I was cold, until I spotted the crazy brave kite surfers and kayakers in the water.
How do they do it, when I can barely keep my hair from flying in my face, and my feet on the ground? After keeping warm at the Lodge at Tiburon, my friend Helen texted me that she was inspired by my outfit (which she had glimpsed on Instagram) and that we needed to take pictures of our matching ensembles…
Behold, my style twin!
Funnily enough, we even have the same iPhone case. Remember this one?
Here’s what I wore: H&M faux fur vest {similar & similar}; J.crew sequins & stripes top {similar & similar & similar}; Tibi orange shorts {similar}; Papillote grey cableknit tights {similar}; Sole Society boots c/o; Forever 21 quilted white bag {similar}.
Do you have a style twin? I’d love to know…
xx,
Kelly Golightly
p.s. Jeni’s salty caramel ice cream is amazing.
