Our Editorial Policy

kellygolightly editors source the very best fashion and design finds from a variety of sources — the Web, magazines, fashion and trade shows and even (gasp) brick-and-mortar shops, carefully curating the ideal mix of high and low, uptown and downtown, Champagne and lollypops to fulfill your style cravings. We never accept payment (or shoes, though tempting…) in exchange for editorial coverage.

However, to keep the finds a flowing and to give the people what they want (um, that would be us, too!), we occasionally include links to affiliate partners, in which we earn commissions based on sales (editorial selections are made first, if affiliate link opportunities exist, those are added after). We’ll also sometimes include “Featured Deals” or “Dedicated” and “Spotlight” emails from our advertisers. These are all clearly labeled as such. We always strive to make our advertising as interesting, relevant and inspiring as our editorial so that you enjoy the best kellygolightly experience possible — and so the sponsored spots are effective for our advertisers. Product Submissions + Samples

Just like at a traditional magazine, we are often sent free products from designers and PR firms to sample and review. And often times, we request them if we think it’s something our readers will want to know about it. It’s how we can give you the most informed scoop on something new (it’s impossible to recommend a new shampoo without trying it first, after all). If we love the product, we’ll write about it. Our Privacy Policy

kellygolightly respects your privacy and will never share your email address with any third party, unless you specifically grant us permission to do so. It’s that simple. Our daily e-mail newsletter, The DailyBuss, is managed by Constant Contact, which also has a strict privacy policy and no-spam policy.

Email List Information Collection

For each visitor that signs up for our email list, we collect only the information that is requested on the list signup form. Required fields are denoted with an asterisk (*). Our web servers may collect the domain name or IP address of visitors to our web page(s). Unless otherwise stated on our web site, we collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email and information volunteered by you such as but not limited to list signup information, survey information, and/or site registrations. We also may collect clickstream information. In our email messages to you which are distributed through this list, we may have information from third party providers for products and services which may be advertised or promoted within messages we send to you from this email list–the privacy policies of those third-party provider sites govern the method by which they collect and use such information.
