Did you see the lovely flick 500 Days of Summer? If so, did you also swoon at the delightful vintage frocks worn by the captivating Zooey Deschanel?
Everything was so ladylike, so Mad Men meets modern day, so covetable that we instantly ran to our closets and unearthed our own vintage dresses that hadn’t seen the light of day in years.
The film had such a Wes Anderson or Sofia Coppola quality in that the aesthetics — both the fashion and the locations — were as central a character as the characters themselves (at least to our style-hungry eyes). The director’s choice of hue? Blue. Perhaps to highlight Deschanel’s mesmerizing eyes?
So we went on the hunt for a vintage-inspired dress that felt lovely and non-costumey and unearthed this rivulet dress that looks exactly like something Zooey Deschanel would wear.
Feeling blue too?
