Cue the Etta James. At last, at last my prayers for the Giant Rubber Duck to visit California were answered! And it was love at first sight…in striped sunnies. Behold, our encounter + what I wore for our first date.
I was so excited to meet Ducky in the LBC, I jumped for joy. The rotund water fowl was all he was quacked up to be — and more (psst…Ducky’s got back!).
On a side note, don’t you feel like fashion blogging has gotten a little too serious lately? In an effort to lighten up the landscape, I hope to counter that one blog post at a time and not only inject a little glamour into the everyday but a lot of fun too. So here’s to Jackie O-meets-CeeLo striped statement sunglasses, giant ducks and, hopefully, giant smiles and a lot of jumping for joy. Because if I learned anything from Ducky, it’s to make a spectacle of yourself.
SHOP THE LOOK:
Jacket: NYDJ (on major sale!) c/o | Dress: Oasis c/o (no longer available but similar here & here) | Shoes: old but similar | Sunglasses: from the party store (score!) but fun statement sunglasses below
