I fell asleep last night listening to Oprah talk with Gwyneth Paltrow on the new Goop Podcast. (Thank you to Grace for posting about it!) One thing that struck me the most was a story Oprah told.
What I Learned From Oprah on the Goop Podcast:
A young 12-year-old boy was dying, and as he took his last breaths, he whispered into his mother’s ear:
“It’s all so simple, really.”
It really is, isn’t it? We complicate things, we distract ourselves left and right, but at the end of the day, it’s all so simple, really.
Live in the present moment, it’s all we have.
It IS the thing.
If you’ve ever read Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth, you already know that. It is one of the books that’s had a lasting effect on me.
Oprah also mentioned a book I’ve not yet read, The Seat of the Soul, which I look forward to digging into. Have you read it?
You can listen to the podcast here, if you’d like.
Enjoy the moment!
