Pumpkins, are you having a good week? Are you in store for a hot or cold weekend? It seems that LA is having endless summer with a sizzling heatwave, but I’m in Georgia enjoying some beautiful thunderstorms, changing leaves, fried green tomatoes, the best fried chicken ever, and good family time (accompanied by lots of tea and Linzertorte!).
Thunderstorms are rare in Los Angeles and though I am a big fan of the incessant sunshine, I do love a good thunderstorm (although now that I live on the side of a hill in Silver Lake and LA is infamous for mudslides, I prefer to get my fix in Georgia or Texas when visiting family).
I’ll be back in LA soon as I’ve been selected as a “glam-bassador” and host of a runway show presented by the trend forecasting group Directives West. It’s an industry-only event for LA Fashion Week, so if you’re a fellow fashion editor, writer, blogger, buyer or designer, I hope to see you there (and feel free to email me today if you’d like to attend)! And if you’re not technically in the industry or don’t live in LA but are a fashion enthusiast all the same, I’ll be posting pics from the event next week.
Events like this are always so fun for discovering and meeting up-and-coming designers and I’m thrilled to be chosen as a “glam-bassador” (a word that, from here on out, I insist my husband preface my name with…just call me Glam-bassador Kelly for short…yes, I’m a peach to live with!). I’ll be hosting the FIRST LA fashion show alongside fellow fashion bloggers Glitter n’ Glue and elshane (who happens to also be Giuliana Rancic’s stylist — you know how I love G!). It should be a good time.
Until then, I wish you a wonderful weekend filled with fabulous fall adventures and leave you with this week’s highlights:
Sweetest Day is this Saturday (did you know it was a holiday?!)
Bedroom Fantasies (it may be time to invest in the boudoir…)
Postcards from the Pumpkin Patch (just call me pumpkin paparazzo)
