Cinespia; Hollywood Forever; Movies in the Cemetery

Last weekend, I fell even more deeply in love with LA. An outdoor movie screening (Raising Arizona) at Hollywood Forever Cemetery (where Marilyn Monroe and Alfred Hitchcock were laid to rest) and a great play at The Geffen, Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss and What I Wore (a must-see — made even better by half-price tix that landed us front row, thanks Goldstar! — described by my hero, Nora Ephron herself, as The Vagina Monologues but Without the Vaginas) sealed the deal between my heart and the City of Angels. For. Like. Ever.

This weekend I head to Park City with Le Hubby and his fam (technically mine too now!). But before I hop aboard the plane to sobriety (or is it just Salt Lake City that’s dry?), we’ll be shopping and riding the ferris wheel on Rode Drive in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out. Will you be hopping aboard the FNO train?

Oh, and for those of you curious about how the Ultimate Wardrobe Challenge is going, I’ve done a miserable job documenting my looks so far, though I have stuck to the challenge like glitter sticks to, well, everything — even five years later. More photos to come soon, but a brief glimpse at playing dress up (sometimes it’s fun being your own paper doll!).

p.s. Brit style icon Alexa Chung just released her collection for Madewell and it’s full of adorable, relatively affordable, cool pieces. Check it out here! The Harriet Pintuck dress is so cute.
