Darling lovebirds, did you stay up late or wake up really early to watch the royal wedding? I snuggled up to my iPad in bed around 1am here on the West Coast and watched as much as I could before my eyes won the battle of open versus shut. I’ll be watching the rest this afternoon, but wanted to pop in to swoon over the bride’s dress with you. Kate Middleton looked absolutely stunning in her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown, don’t you think? The bride’s entire look was certainly influenced heavily by Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, even down to the bouquet.
Why mess with perfection? Kate Middleton and Grace Kelly’s dresses are just further proof that classic, timeless designs never go out of style. What do you think? Do you love these dresses as much as I do? What did you wear on your wedding day or what do you dream of wearing when you tie the knot (sneak peek of our wedding below!)?
Happy weekend darlings, and here are this week’s highlights:
p.s. If you want to see more amazing photos of Grace Kelly’s royal wedding, take a peek at this gallery on Life.com. (I was so happy to find out that I share my birthday with Grace Kelly’s wedding date, as the other major historical events on April 19th include the Oklahoma City bombing and Waco – oh my!)
