ryan gosling's style; ryan gosling fashion; what ryan gosling wore to the mtv movie awards; ryan gosling's ferregamo pants; postal pants; postman pants; tuxedo pants; mens style inspiration

I’ve met a lot of men recently (err…) who either have inspiring style, style questions or who, quite simply, are feeling a little left out from this world we call kellygolightly (sorry, guys!). I feel like the universe is telling me something and I’m not one to ignore the universe. And I’m certainly not one to not give men what they want (What? You fact-checked that with Le Huz? Fine, scratch that). So I present to you Mr. Buss, a new column that is all about guy style. I hope you enjoy and I really hope it leads to a world of less khaki-and-button-down clones (the Nobel Peace Prize is so close, I can taste it).

Kicking off Mr. Buss is Mr. Gosling. Or, rather, Mr. Taylor. On the set of the Style Network Quick Switch video I had the pleasure of participating in recently at the E! studios, our producer Mr. Taylor was rocking a pair of postal pants. Sure, my initial reaction may have begun with ‘what the’ and ended with some delicious fudge, but as with all great things, those pants (and that producer) made me think.

So, imagine my surprise when Ryan Gosling popped up at the MTV Movie Awards wearing his own version of postal pants. Gosling’s were technically navy and black Ferragamo tuxedo pants, but really, they looked nearly identical to Mr. Taylor’s postal pants, which he scored at a local uniform supply shop in Hollywood. Feel like going postal? You can save yourself the gas moola and snag a pair online for less than $40 right here.

Postal pants pair perfectly with a simple tee like this one from the GAP ($16.95) and a leather jacket like this oneicon by Selected at ASOS ($249), as modeled by Mr. Gosling. However, you should probably say no to pairing your postal pants with a postal shirt and jacket — unless you want to look like Cliff Claven (hey, I’m not here to judge).

What do you think? Guys, do you like this look? Would you try it? Ladies (or gents), how do you feel about your fella going postal?
