Tory Burch always veers somewhere between worldly and matronly. Kind of Michael Kors meets Lily Pulitzer. Those colorful printed tunics make us want to jaunt off to flea markets around the world; the twee cardigans make us think of UES moms. So Burch’s Fall 2010 collection was quite the departure. Cool, downtown, layered, colorful, we loved it. But will her consumer? Only time will tell.

One thing that amused. If you saw Project Runway last night, guest judge Tory Burch herself slammed designer Amy, saying that blue and orange aren’t colors that go well together. We couldn’t have disagreed more (in fact, it’s one of our fave combos ever), and apparently Tory didn’t really mean it, as her Fall 2010 collection melds the two, and quite successfully.

Do you like orange and blue together? What do you think of this new collection? Would you buy it? Do you think the typical Tory Burch customer will? Is it divine, divine, divine?

P.S. Love those boots and laces.
