Scenes from San Miguel de Allende

Happy Memorial Day weekend, my loves! We just arrived in San Antonio, Texas from spending the past week in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It was such a colorful, magical spot that really took my breath away (I’m ready to pack my bags and move there!). Here are a few photos from our trip, along with what I wore. I’ll be sharing more snapshots over the next few weeks (as well as photos from our trip to South America — finally!). I hope you enjoy.

The weather was toasty, with abundant sunshine bathing the town in a beautiful amber light.

The people were warm, friendly and celebratory: fire crackers literally go off at all hours of the day and colorful bunting is suspended in many of the plazas. Punch Buggies cruise the streets in every color of the rainbow and beautiful prints and patterns are everywhere you look.

I did my best to dress for the occasion. Breezy dresses and a hat were essential for the hot, dry days and flat sandals were ideal for exploring the cobblestone streets on foot.
