Seeing the world in black and white. With a pop of pink, of course.

Finally. I know. I’ll be working backwards as I post pictures from my Wardrobe Challenge, but here’s a peek at yesterday’s outfit, which I wore to Meg and Joy’s book party at Urbanic in Venice. Both ladies looked adorable and Joy had picked up the pink ADAM dress I wore in Day 1, so I had to get creative so we wouldn’t end up having a total 90210 prom moment!

My style recipe:

1 cream Johnny Martin knit dress

1 black Express blazer (thanks to my sister!)

1 pair of hot pink Urban Outfitters tights

1 pair of cream and black Nine West heels

1 cream Margaret Nicole bangle bag

1 pair of diamond earrings (thanks to my hubby on our wedding day!)

1 diamond bracelet (thanks to my hubby’s parents on our wedding day!)

And yes, that is a gold sequin dress hanging on my living room wall. It was looking a little bare and needed a smidge of sparkle. Voila.

Strolling Abbot Kinney for the Border Grill food truck.

After the Creative, Inc. book party, we strolled Abbot Kinney for food trucks. We happily decided on Border Grill for tacos — avocado, potato, cilantro chicken and pork. Oink. Oink.

Cooler weather made my cableknit Margaret Nicole bag feel just right.

While I love the look of these shoes, the angle in which they put your ankle isn’t exactly the most comfortable. So it was quite fortuitous that in the mail yesterday, a darling pair of Kushyfoot Flats to Go arrived in my mailbox. By the end of the night, they were my new BFF.

Emergency ballet flats for your bag? Genius!

You can just pop them in your bag and change into them at a moment’s notice. Clever, no?
