Hello, my loves! How’s your week? You know those weeks where everything seems to happen all at the same time? That’s my week, in a nutshell. But it’s been pretty incredible. I especially want to thank you for all of the kind comments, tweets, emails and touching words about the launch of Kelly Golightly. It’s always a bit nerve-racking making a change, but your support has meant the world. I can’t thank you enough.

Here’s how I’ll be spending the next few days…

Fashion Week Prep

I’ll be spending the long weekend getting ready for New York for Fashion Week! I’m excited to share the adventure with you. I haven’t been since Fashion Week moved from the tents at Bryant Park to Lincoln Center, and feel like so much has changed over the past few years (especially in regards to bloggers), so am anxious to take it all in. And I’m really excited to pack! The lovely folks at BCBG and Herve Leger have kindly offered to dress me for their shows and parties, so it’s a bit of a Cinderella moment.

And a big change from my very first Fashion Week, or as evidenced by the photo above, Fashion Weak. I learned a very important lesson: Never wear new shoes! (Would you believe it was the flats that did me in? Yipes. I can still feel the cuts and blisters as I hobbled home to Bleecker Street.)

I’m also thrilled to be partnering with Citizens of Humanity and Paul Mitchell for Fashion’s Night Out. I’ll be live Instagramming and tweeting as we event-hop, so be sure to follow along. It should be fun!

Of course, I’m most excited to catch up with old friends in New York. It’s been far too long and I suspect there’s a visit to Alice’s Teacup in my future. And of course to Central Park, where Fred Baby and I got married on a block of ice six years ago.

In addition to gearing up for New York, we’ll also be popping out to Palm Springs for a day. I hope to have some really exciting news to share shortly (fingers crossed)…

Wishing you a long weekend full of exciting adventures and I’ll see you back here on Tuesday!

p.s.  In a week full of excitement, the highlight by far was meeting a special little someone… My dear friend Jenny had her baby girl a few days ago and to say she is a living doll might be the understatement of the century. Welcome to the world Charlotte Pearl! We’re so happy to have you here xx.
