To be honest, I wasn’t really so jazzed to see summer come to end. Until I spotted these sparklers at a fall fashion preview hosted by Neiman Marcus at The Peninsula Beverly Hills recently! Come to mama. In addition to the glittering Giuseppe Zanottis, I also was negotiating what I could sell (my eggs, my soul, maybe just 1000 glasses of lemonade) to make these colorblocked Celine pants mine. Yowzas. Aren’t they divine?
But then. Then, I spotted this black and white Chanel bag which I’d gladly give my left and right arms for (though that would render the purchase a tad moot). Who needs arms when you have Chanel, non?!
They say the devil wears Prada. Well paint me red and call me Lucifer, lovelies! These Prada pumps are so retro-inspired and ladylike-chic I’d sell your left foot for them.
But the piece de resistance, le creme de la creme, the look we all collectively gasped over when the model walked out, the Oscar for best dressed…well, that went to this pink feather ballgown by Mr. Oscar de la Renta. Bravo, sir, Bravo. Now if only I could score an invitation for an appropriate place to wear it. Unless Whole Foods counts. Does it?
Of the top trends for fall, which are you most excited about? Bordeaux, lady chic, shimmer? Anything you’d sell your soul for? Do tell!
p.s. Along with getting to spy the glamorous fashions, I was treated to a mini makeover by Le Metier de Beaute makeup artist (and celebrity makeup artist) Ivan Castro who really made my eyes POP. He had all sorts of tricks up his dapper sleeve but the best one was to layer many different eyeshadow hues to create a multidimensional look. And to think I left the house looking like this. Thanks Ivan! (BTW, isn’t his hair la bomba?!)
