I had the pleasure of attending my dear friend Lisa’s baby shower this weekend.
Here’s the scoop on what I wore…
Lisa is an amazing Los Angeles-based fashion designer so when deciding what to wear, it was a bit easier than usual — I wore pieces from her collection! I scooped up this outfit at a recent trunk show she held and, truth be told, I’ve been wearing this Lisamichelle Collection top and skirt to every lunch and business meeting over the past month. I’m not exaggerating. It’s just the perfect cross between ladylike and sweet but still dressy and structured enough for meetings, so it’s been a go-to outfit as of late. It also works equally well for a baby or bridal shower (and reminds me a bit of Clueless!).
Sometimes I drape a blazer over my shoulders but most of the time I wear it exactly as I’m wearing it here, except that I often add a mint-colored pump.
But these mirrored Shoe Dazzle heels are my new favorites, as they’re so comfy I could have walked to and from the shower. (I didn’t of course; this is LA, after all.)
At the end of the shower, held at Lisa’s parents’ beautiful Beverly Hills home, her dad passed out balloons. Who was I to say no? Hence, the Funny Face-inspired frolic.
Do you have any go-to pieces in your closet? The ones you grab for again and again?
