The holiday season is right around the corner, so we checked in with our own editor-in-chief Kelly Lee to see what was on her wishlist this season. Below, she tells Santa what’s making her feel merry and bright.

{clockwise, from top left}
I don’t want to ring in the New Year, I want to roll in the New Year! This’ll be a quirky, playful fireplace accent, a la my design hero Kelly Wearstler and a good reminder to stay young at heart. Roller Stop, $95 at yoya shop * My husband and I have been in our flat for nearly two years now, but I’m as addicted to buying art for our walls as ever. This reminds me of him and is sweet and nostalgic all at once. She & Him poster, $25 at The Small Stakes * Driving without a headset while talking on your cellphone is now illegal in San Francisco. This will help keep me out of jail, plus you can use these to hear your music on your iPhone, so that’s one less thing I have to worry about if I’m climbing the Lyon Street Stairs, like I’ve vowed to do daily…argh. Apple iPhone Stereo Headset, $29 at Apple * I love making the everyday more special. Sure, these are meant for cocktails and dessert, but I’ll be sipping my sparkly water in style if Santa brings these. Colorful Wobble Glasses, $40 at MoMA * Peacocks are both posh and playful, plus this will make me feel better when tackling a stack of bills. Vera Bradley Paperweight, $28 at Barnes & Noble

Could there be a more fahbulous way to sip French 75s? I’ll toast to more bubbly and more celebrations with loved ones in the New Year. InsideOut Champagne Glasses, $60 for 2 at Wishingfish * This past year was, fortunately, filled with lots of adventures to new and exciting places. In fact, I’m pretty sure I spent more nights in hotels than at home. If only I’d had this chic passport cover, I could have upped my International Woman of Mystery quotient. Mirror-Metallic Passport Cover, $29.50 at J.Crew * Everything a girl could possibly wish for. And I’m sure friends and fam will appreciate Kate Spade’s colorful, witty sentiment as well. Hope, Peace, Cookies Cards, $34 for 10 at Barnes & Noble * Besides being a huge Matte Stephens fan, this charming bear reminds me so much of my adorable two-year-old niece who makes the same gesture simply to make me — and the rest of her audience — laugh. Plus, I got her a similar Matte Stephens print, so we would match! Bear Monster Gocco Print by Matte Stephens, $22 at Rare Device * Classic and chic, these will look great with jeans and sweaters and let me run around town comfortably with Love Story style. Steven by Steve Madden ‘Intyce’ Boot, $120 at Nordstrom * Besides reminding me of one of the best shows ever, Seinfeld, this will let me enjoy the best part of a muffin — and I’m hoping a cupcake: the top! The Original Muffin Top Tin, $20 at The Spoon Sisters

A few years back, I bought some moc slippers for a steal at Kmart of all places. These look just as comfy, but far sweeter.Shearling Slipper Mocs, $59.50 at J.Crew * Now every time I struggle with finishing the book I’ve been working on for the past, oh, three years, this will at least make me smile and remind me I’m not alone.Writer’s Block, $8 at Wishingfish * When, baby, it’s cold outside, these will make me and those around me chuckle on the inside.Hi 5 Mittens, $95 at Kate Spade * Anything but blah, I’ve only been wanting this Donna Wilson pillow since I first spotted it nearly two years ago. Blah Blah Pillow, $95 at Eden & Eden * All I need is Love, by mid-century mod master Alexander Girard.Alexander Girard Love Panel, $89 at Velocity Art & Design

My husband’s fab parents have a thing for eggs, which has definitely rubbed off on me. I like that this reminds me of them and is graphic, cool and cute to boot.The Dodos Poster, $25 at The Small Stakes * It may sound cliche or very Blair Waldorf, but I absolutely adore Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Having the same sleep mask Holly Golightly wore would make slumber – especially on planes – that much lovelier. Holly Golightly Sleep Mask, $14 at Fred Flare * Is 30 too old to kind of be obsessed with The Olsen Twins? Yes! But I don’t care and want this book featuring interviews with their fashion and artist influences anyway. Influence, $23 at Amazon * Though I’ve had the good fortune of traveling to many new places this year, this pretty little globe is a sleek reminder that there’s plenty more to discover and learn — starting with geography. Metallic Desktop Globe , $25 at Barnes & Noble
