With holiday entertaining upon us, I teamed up with interior designer Dee Murphy to show you two ways to set a dazzling holiday tabletop. (And I was feeling very Martha, clearly!) Featured on Rue today, it’s the holidays two ways!
Dee and I always buy so many of the same items, whether it’s clothing or home decor, but we always style them in such different ways. So, we thought it would be fun to do the same for a holiday tabletop.
Using some of the same pieces (black-and-white placemats made from Romo fabric, West Elm gold flatware, Z Gallerie emerald goblets) and a mix of high and low, we then split a long farmhouse-style table at Rolling Greens down the middle and each went about our merry way styling the table.
My side of the table turned into a girly-glam wonderland, full of sparkling gold pieces by Kelly Wearstler and Jonathan Adler, complete with a ‘lette macaron tower fashioned as a Christmas tree. A snowy white runner made of faux fur plus bright pink napkins by Romo and I was ready to have an imaginary dinner party with Audrey Hepburn and Kelly Wearstler as guests.
Here’s a peek…
Dee’s look was cozy, sophisticated and woodland-glam. Be sure to visit her blog Murphy Deesign for all the details!

A huge thank you to Caroline and Jayden of Woodnote Photography for shooting the beautiful photos, to Rolling Greens for letting us shoot in your amazing space and to Tamar Mashigian for making it all possible.
