Howdy friends! How’s your week treating you? I wanted to send a giant THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Prom Around the World on Saturday! I’m sharing pics from our virtual prom + how much we raised for No Kid Hungry, thanks to YOU! Also, here’s a link for the feather robe that made multiple appearances…
THANK YOU FOR DRESSING UP FOR PROM AROUND THE WORLD
First, can we talk about YOUR prom looks?
You guys really brought it. From gents in jackets and bowties to pooches in tuxes to the ladies slaying it in fanciful frocks, I was blown away! Not to mention the darling little ones who joined in the fun.
Thank you to all who tuned in and dressed up — it was SO fun seeing your looks on your Instagram feeds and Stories and in the #promaroundtheworld hashtag.
Most of all, though, it was SO incredible to connect with all of you and have a few hours of pure FUN!
Thank you to everyone who commented, asked questions and of course a special thank you to friends who joined us on the LIVE chat:
Alle Pierce, Teggy French, Daniel Musto, Sheryl Luke of Walk in Wonderland, Mister Wonderland and my prom date, Fred Baby AND his parents.
Love you all SO much!
The energy from those few hours fueled me so much — I really can’t tell you how I grateful I am.
THANKS TO YOU WE HAVE RAISED OVER $2400 FOR NO KID HUNGRY!
Speaking of grateful, as you probably know, Prom Around the World was also a fundraiser for NO KID HUNGRY.
Thanks to all of you, we raised $805!
Fred Baby and I said we would match donations, which bring that total to $1610.
And then, Teggy surprised us during the LIVE by generously offering to match donations too!
Which means, the total is now $2415!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
If you are inclined to donate, know that any amount is SO appreciated and goes so far.
$10 = 100 meals!
So many kids rely on school lunches for their main meals and haven’t been able to get them due to school closures during COVID-19. NO KID HUNGRY is making sure those kids are fed.
DONATE HERE, if you are able.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER…WEAR FEATHER ROBES TOGETHER
For those of you who asked where you can get one of those amazing feather-trimmed robes like Alle and Karen were wearing, the link is here.
I got my feather robe about five months ago and wore it here. The color I’m wearing is Watermelon and it looks like a beautiful coral color or flamingo in person.
When I ordered it, it only took a few weeks to arrive. But Alle, who ordered hers more recently, said it took a few months. Just a heads up!
But the vintage-style robe come in a slew of colors (I also love the “Ice Blue” which looks like Tiffany blue!) and it make you feel like your most Zsa Zsa Gabor self.
Shout out to Color Me Courtney, where I first saw these Old Hollywood movie star robes!
Do you have a favorite color?
Okay, prom queens and kings, thank you SO much again and I can’t wait to see you at the next virtual shindig xo!
