As I gear up for our cruise to the Caribbean with Celebrity Cruises, I wanted to share what I’m packing. As you know, I l only travel with carry-on, so if you have a tropical vacation in your future, here’s how to pack light + in style for a weeklong getaway.
IN MY WEEKENDER BAG:
Your weekender bag should have everything you need until your luggage is delivered to your room + should always be kept with you on the plane.
Electronics:
Phone + charger + backup battery + headphones
Camera, charger + flexible tripod
Laptop, mouse + charger
Power strip w/ surge protector
Kindle or book
Binoculars
Clothing:
1 swimsuit
1 coverup
1 lightweight scarf
1-2 pairs of glasses
1-2 pairs of sunglasses
Collapsible backpack/beachbag
Small crossbody clutch with: passport + travel docs, credit card, money, phone, chapstick, tissues
Hat (wear it on)
Sandals/flip flops (wear them on)
Trench coat (wear it on)
Meds + Toiletries:
Makeup
Deodorant
Bandaids
Hairbrush
Travel-size toothpaste
Decanted into 3 oz bottles: shampoo, conditioner, facewash, moisturizer
Sunscreen wipes
Antibacterial wipes
Mosquito repellent wipes
Sudafed, Aleve, Advil, Bonine, Pepto
In my Roll-on Suitcase:
2 cocktail dresses/caftans for fancy dining
1 pair of low heels/wedges that go with your fancy frocks
2-3 coverups/tunics/caftans
2-3 tops
1-2 pairs of shorts
1-2 pair of pants (like these)
1 bathing suit
1 baseball cap
1 workout outfit
1 pair of tennis shoes
3 pairs of socks
1 cardigan (like this)
10 pairs of undies
2-3 bras/camis/slips (I wear short slips under coverups/tunics as dresses)
1 pair of pajamas
1 oversized lightweight scarf
1 dirty laundry bag (a trashbag works!)
5 ziploc bags (to transport wet bathing suits from shore excursions)
1 small umbrella
Curling iron
Costume jewelry (nothing precious)
