What To Wear To a Slim Aarons Party in Spain

First things first, you know my admiration for Slim Aarons is deep. The famous shutterbug’s work inspires almost everything I do, from throwing pool parties and BBQs to recreating Poolside Gossip for magazine editorials.

 And of course there was this pinch-me day where we got to recreate the original Slim Aarons photo Poolside Gossip with Nelda Linsk and Helen Dzo Dzo Kaptur (featured in The New York Times).

So, for this question, I went straight to the source: this Slim Aarons photo shot in Marbella, Spain.

SO dreamy, right?

Something breezy and flowy like a caftan or maxi dress would be ideal either in white or a colorful, happy hue like yellow, pink or blue. Jetset glamour is what you’re after.

The reader shared that the party is in September, which is the end of summer, so it should be warm in Spain, but not hot. Perfect!
